The Middle School aims to produce confident and competent learners who are able to communicate effectively. When unsure of the answer to a question, students learn how to independently research for an answer. Students are taught to be creative problem solvers. Middle school pupils are at times encouraged to work as members of a group or a team, sharing responsibility, success, and failure.

The High School consists of the final four years of pre-university schooling. BAIS offers a modified American curriculum. Normally, six subjects are taken each year, including a sequential progression of courses in English, mathematics, science, and social studies. Students are required to take major examinations at the end of each semester.

Electives include music, drama, art, computer, physical education, yearbook, journalism, Indonesian language and culture, and more.

Advanced courses are offered in selected areas in order to prepare students for Advanced Placement (AP) exams.
