The American College Testing (ACT) (act.org) Assessment measures the skills necessary for college coursework. It is written in multiple choice format with questions covering English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. The ACT has an optional WRITING portion. Visit the web site to see which colleges recommend the writing test for admissions. This web site will also allow you to register on-line for the test, and it provides information for college search, financial aid, applications on-line, and scholarships.
