Dear Elementary Students and Parents,
February is ‘I Love to Read’ month! We are excited to spend this time celebrating books and reading! Our theme this year is ‘I Love to Read!’. During this month, students will be participating in many exciting activities to promote reading.
Here are some important dates to remember during this month.
During this month, the library books checkout limit goes up to 5 books for preschool to kindergarten and 10 books for 1st grade to 5th grade. So be sure to visit the library whenever you need more books to read.
Please contact Pak John (email@example.com) with any questions. Have a great ‘I Love to Read’ month!
This semester in Elementary Chapel we will be partnering with Free & Safe Indonesia. At our chapel this morning, Jorge Marquez from Free & Safe shared with us about how his organization provides safe housing for at-risk youth and women and empowers them with education and life skills for a better future.
Next week we will begin collecting donations at Chapel each Friday and then give all the money we raise to Free & Safe in June at the end of the semester. Please talk with your child about this opportunity to practice generosity.
You can learn more about Free & Safe Indonesia at https://freeandsafe.co/en/.
