Clinic Info

Dear BAIS Community,

We are aware that the air quality is expected to deteriorate temporarily. This may be attributed to the extended dry season and an ongoing fire at the garbage dump center in the KBB area. We strongly advise individuals with “asthma” or allergies to consider wearing a mask when they are outdoors

We are monitoring the situation and collaborating with other schools in KBP and the health department about this.

Here are a few suggestion from Indonesia’s Health Ministry on how to reduce personal health risks from air pollution :

     1. Check the air quality index regularly. (IQAir)

  1. In the case of a high pollution index, limit your outdoor activities.

  2. In your house you can use an air purifier.

  3. Avoid sources of pollution.

  4. Wear a mask if the pollution index is high.

  5. Maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle.

  6. Talk with your trusted health physician about  any respiratory issues.

Thank you,

Dr. Mayke Rosalina
